Reviews
If you want a delicious and affordable steak dinner that's not an over hyped chain restaurant then I've found your place. This hidden gem between Marietta and Parkersburg boasts some delicious bread that is so crisp and salty. The steak was perfectly cooked and sides were amazing. I highly recommended this establishment.
We ate outside on the porch dining area, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The fish tank inside is also gorgeous. The bathrooms are also nice, at least in the women's bathroom. My son said the men's were a little iffy, though. Our waitress was nice and served us well. We had a crab fondue for an appetizer . It was a little too salty for my taste, but some people like things salty. The other meals were really good, including my hamburger . We have pictures of the other dishes below. It's a medium priced steakhouse like most in the mid-ohio valley. The only real complaint I have about this place is that the music went from bad to terrible. Lol
Don't sit at the bar to eat unless you look like money. I am not rich, I dress casual and tip well. Bartenders always ignore us until we get their attention. Pasta was dry and lacked flavor. Baked potato sucked and steak was ok.
Our family of 5 visited River Town for the first time last night for my sister’s birthday dinner and the experience was fantastic. The restaurant was pretty busy at 7pm, but while we waited for an available table, we spent some time at the slot machines. Wait time was 30 minutes and those games sure made our wait time fly by. Seated and greeted, our server Emily was very informative and friendly. Given all of the specials and drink options, my sister and i both got a Red Nose drink and my mom ordered the Grinch. Drinks were delicious. For appetizers, our picks were the bacon cheese fries and the spring rolls. Both were mouth watering. The bacon cheese fries were presented quite nicely and the cheese was so fresh and melty. With the crispy bacon on top, that plate didn't last long, as we all loved it. Trying something new, the spring rolls didn’t disappoint. Very yummy. We all really enjoyed our main courses. Three of us got fillets, one got the cheeseburger, and the other got the shrimp & chicken pasta. One fillet was slightly overcooked, but our server Emily was right on it and had it redone with no problem. The manager, Natasha, personally served us the new one and made sure everything else was exactly how we needed. My food was so delicious and worth every bite. The onion rings here are perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff went above and beyond making our dinner a good experience and i have to mention that the restaurant was beautiful inside. Even the restrooms were well kept and comfortable to be in. For dessert we ordered 4 cheesecakes to go. I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant and can’t wait to come back. Thank you again, Emily and Natasha for taking such good care of our family.
River Town Prime Steakhouse and Grill has the BEST strip steak I have ever had. I ordered it well done and yet it still had the melt in your mouth effect. Steak potatoe fries were great too.
We will definitely be back every time we come to town.
We have enjoyed the multiple visits to this restaurant. The pricing is a tad high, and they price several items on the menu as "market price." If that doesn't bother you, it's hard to make a mistake on the menu.
We have had fish, steak, chicken, and a few of their appetizers, all good.
I recommend sitting at the bar, inside or our, for quick seating and good service!
Have been here a couple of times. First time surprise was they have an olive butter for bread/butter they bring to the table and it’s fantastic. Food was cooked properly, served on time. Atmosphere only for a 4/5 because it’s just normal and what you expect but nothing that WoWs…and some of the seats are straighter than straight and not all comfy to sit in and relax with a good meal. Kinda odd but it’s small.
Last visit we had a server named Dax and he was great. Quick, pleasant and went above and beyond.
Overall good place for a nice dinner.
Amazing food and incredible service! First, the service: Our server, Dee, was very patient with us, as this was our first time eating here. She made many suggestions, and those suggestions did not disappoint! Dee also made sure our drinks were always filled, made sure our table was cleared of empty plates, and was very attentive to anything we wanted or needed. The world needs more servers like Dee! She brought more joy to our table accompanied by the already excellent dinner.
The food: you could literally make a meal out of just the appetizers. But being that it was our first time here, we wanted to try out several things. The Tips of Bleu were very flavorful and just melt in your mouth. Delicious! The Monte Cristo wraps stole the show. They were a perfect blend of sweet, salty, and savory. They had great flavor, texture, and they weren't too messy to eat, either! The chopped steak had caramelized onions and mushrooms topping it, and it was very good. The loaded baked potato was too salted on the skin, but the potato itself was baked to perfection topped with butter, sour cream, green onions, AND BACON! The Land and Sea pasta was so flavorful and creamy. The berry tiramisu was incredibly decadent, beautiful, light, and perfect.
Thank you for a great dining experience!
